Lucas Mejia
Lucas Mejia was born in Barranquilla, Colombia where he developed his love for art, bright colors, and creative designs. Mejia was a fashion and textile designer in Colombia where he owned his own design boutique, Confecciones Lacouture, LTDA. He also taught fashion design at the Universidad Autonoma del Caribe before moving to the United States in 1997 now residing in Key West.
Harrison Gallery is a privately owned and operated studio and art space. The gallery was opened by Helen and Ben Harrison in 1986, and they have run the space independently for the past 28 years.
Harrison Gallery represents a select group of artists whose work, along with that of the Harrison's, make the gallery a unique artistic experience.
Located in the southernmost city in the United States, Harrison Gallery has become a Key West institution. The gallery has been widely known as a destination for the best contemporary art in the area for nearly three decades.
