David Wegman
Key West local artist, musician and around-the-world sailor, David Wegman looks at his art as a visual journey of his life. An avid traveler, David draws inspiration for his artistic endeavors from his ever-changing experiences. “I like painting people and boats and all the things that come along that I am inspired by.” He has been a frequenter of the Caribbean islands since 1974.
“Whenever I see something that is still there, I like to paint it and kind of preserve it.”
Harrison Gallery is a privately owned and operated studio and art space. The gallery was opened by Helen and Ben Harrison in 1986, and they have run the space independently for the past 28 years.
Harrison Gallery represents a select group of artists whose work, along with that of the Harrison's, make the gallery a unique artistic experience.
Located in the southernmost city in the United States, Harrison Gallery has become a Key West institution. The gallery has been widely known as a destination for the best contemporary art in the area for nearly three decades.
